Exterior Finishes

Customize the look of the house with choices of exterior sidings. Choices include:

• Natural stained cedar in either beveled siding, or shakes.
• Low maintenance Hardiboard fiber cement in shakes or beveled siding.
• Natural painted beveled siding.

Millwork

We believe that including intelligent built in storage solutions in our buildings allows these small spaces to be truly beautiful, functional, and ultimately livable. We design and build our own millwork in house with quality materials, hardware and craftsmanship. Finish options include a variety of local and FSC certified solid and veneer core plywood. Our designs such as built id beds with drawers and bookcases recessed into walls, take advantage of the hidden spaces to help store and organize your stuff.

Mechanical Systems

Our standard mechanical system is designed for efficiency and comfort and helps our homes achieve a PowerSmart Gold rating. Standard systems include:

• A wall mounted gas boiler that supplies both domestic hot water and in floor radiant heat for comfortable efficient heat.
• A heat recovery ventilator for efficient fresh air return.
• Dual flush toilets and low flow plumbing fixtures.
• Optional solar thermal and/or photovoltaic collectors.

Smallworks offers a wide variety of interior finish options. We have grouped interior finishes and fixtures into families that will suit a range of design directions from traditional to contemporary.

Efficient Energy Star rated smaller European style appliances are grouped into families to maintain a consistent design aesthetic that fits the home and the cabinetry.
