This beautifully restored heritage home resides in what was once rural farmland.
At the turn of the 20th century, the BC Electric Railways asked a local resident to name the interurban stop located at West 41st Avenue and Arbutus. She offered “Kerry’s Dale”, after her family home in Scotland.
Kerry’s Dale has long existed as Kerrisdale, and the once primarily Scottish and English immigrant population has now changed to primarily Asian immigrants and Canadians. This home, however, still remains and with many of its original vestiges.
Our team helped restore the home to its former glory, with the kitchen seeing a massive overhaul. We also did what we do best — added a mortgage helping secondary suite (in the basement this time). The resulting home is a more affordable, yet majestically elegant and understated, Arts and Crafts masterpiece.
